These terms govern your use of tugofwar.day ("the site"), operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. The service

The Daily Tug is an online game: a shared tug-of-war between two sides that anyone can join. We may change, suspend, or withdraw features at any time. We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use bots, scripts, or automated means to inflate pulls, votes, or counts;
attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the site;
submit battle topics or content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable; or
use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes others' rights.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaks these rules.

3. User-submitted battles

If you submit a battle topic, you confirm you have the right to submit it and grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site. We may screen, edit, reject, or remove submissions — including automatically — and we are not obliged to publish anything. Submitted content does not represent our views.

4. Payments, credits, and paid pulls

Some features are paid (for example, paid pulls or submitting a battle). Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; by paying you also accept Stripe's terms. Purchases of credits or paid pulls are consumed within the game and are generally non-refundable once used, except where you have a legal right to a refund.

Your legal right to cancel: for digital content and services bought online, UK consumer law may give you a 14-day right to cancel. Where you ask us to start a paid feature immediately and it is fully performed within that period, that cancellation right can be lost. Nothing in these terms affects your non-excludable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. [Confirm your refund policy wording with an adviser.]

5. Accounts [once accounts launch]

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. 6. Intellectual property

The site, its design, and its content (excluding user submissions) belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, resell, or exploit them without permission.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to [the greater of £[amount] or the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months]. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

8. Governing law
